Xavier beat Temple 88-77 on Saturday in a battle of the two teams that shared the Atlantic 10 title last season.

Xavier won its 35th straight A-10 home game, moving the school one ahead of Temple for the league record.

The Owls won 34 in a row from 1987-91.

Tu Holloway scored 21 points and Mark Lyons added 19 for the Musketeers, who shot 52.5 percent from the field.

Duquesne stunned No. 19 Temple on Saturday, ending the Owls' streak of nine wins in 10 games.

Bill Clark had 22 points and Duquesne limited Temple to 31 percent shooting in winning its sixth consecutive game, 78-66.

Duquesne scored the game's first 10 points and held leads of 19-1 and 22-2.
